Yesterday’s training session has been the crossing from Lanzarote (Playa Blanca) to Fuerteventura (Club Nautico de Corralejo), we were 4 of us, Braulio, Nico and Ruben on sea kayaks and myself on a 14′ Nidecker.
We took the ferry boat to Lanzarote and launched from Playa Blanca’s Harbour.
It took me 1h35mn18sec, the conditions were pretty tough out there with a strong North Westerly wind, making the downwind feel a bit too much like a “sidewind run” on the 1st half of the crossing ; the 2nd half was the best with nice and long glides.
